Time for Pumpkin Season

“Open your eyes. Look at the fields that are ready for harvesting now. “John 4:35

Delight in the process of choosing your pumpkin.

"You have been set apart as holy to the Lord your God, and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure." Deuteronomy 14:2

Start by washing away all impurities from your pumpkin.
“Get up be baptized, and wash your sins away.” Acts 22:16

Make an opening on top of the pumpkin to clean out the icky, sticky, gooey stuff inside.
"For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires." Hebrews 4:12

Pull out the icky, sticky, gooey stuff and throw it away.
“He has taken our sins away from us as far as the east is to the west.” Psalm 103:12

Carve a face in the pumpkin.
Then your face will brighten with innocence. You will be strong and free of fear.” Job 11:15

“The eye is a light for the body. If your eyes are good, then your whole body will be full of light.” Matthew 6:22

“He will once again fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.” Job 8:21

Place your candle in the pumpkin to let it shine brightly.
“God once said, “Let the light shine out of the darkness!” And this is the same God who made his light shine in our hearts.” 2 Corinthians 4:6

“In the same way, you should be light for the other people. Live so that they will see the good things you do. Live so that they will praise your Father in heaven” Matthew 5:16

And always remember…
“If anyone belongs to Christ, then he is made new. The old things have gone; everything is made new!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
